Neptune Beach, April 2013

Some shots of Neptune Beach, April 2013

The image below, you can't see with great detail but, there are some baby seagulls near the incoming tide. I watched them for about an hour. Watched as they would walk along the beach and then run like a road runner when the tide would ebb back in.

This one below, was mesmerizing. It was like being hypnotized.

Wendi digging her toes into the wet sand, looking for shells. This particular trip to the beach, was after we had worked all day doing several trash outs.

-peeks in-

I know it has been a good minute since you saw a post from me.  I didn't fall off the face of the earth. Although at times I wished I had. I was busy with...life? Yes, that crazy thing called life. I suppose that would be as good a description as any.

When I went MIA back in March, I was in the middle of repainting the living room, dining room, office, hallway and kids bathroom. I finished them. Thankfully. It turned out pretty nice. I still need to repaint the kitchen, master bath and master bedroom. Along with C & D's room. I also need to repaint Cherokee and Shawnee's room as well. But that can wait. For now. Back in April our property preservation business ( Bleu Wolf Properties & Preservations  and Bleu Wolf Properties on FB) suddenly took off. As if the Queen had  said "Off with  their  heads!". However, despite securing several large contracts with National and International companies, business has slowed down. I am glad that we have our  1mil insurance policy for the business though. It is instrumental in securing contracts. The more contracts we get, the more income it brings in. We are working on securing some contracts in Oklahoma, where my family lives.

Speaking of Oklahoma, Mother Nature seems to be over her little tirade against them. For now. When the May 20th tornado hit Moore, I freaked. No one could get a hold of my sister in law. No one knew where my nieces and nephews were. Nor if they were injured or alive. I felt helpless being here in Florida. I wanted nothing more than to be in Oklahoma with my family. I was a basket case. Finally I got the call that they were okay. I felt as if every bit of tension had drained from my body. Then the next round of tornadoes hit. This time hitting Yukon (where my ex, the kids father, lives) and coming unbelievably close to my parents and brothers homes. Again. Cue all the tension, stress and manic panic. Again. Thankfully my family made it through unscathed. I am glad Mother Nature has given them a reprieve from whatever transgression she is punishing them for.

Well my little moons and stars, this Mad Hatter needs to go for the day. Have fun. And remember....."We are all mad here"

Yes, I have joined the world of the iPad! It is definitely an interesting one. Now to stop finding apps that I am liking. As if that will ever stop.

update on the repainting, it's coming along nicely. I had to take a break due to my rheumatoid arthritis acting up. But I will be back at it tomorrow. I am going to try and get some pictures posted on here for you guys.

The Madhatter is going crazy with Spring

Hi hi hi my moons and stars! Spring has sprung here at the Madhatter's tea party. Instead of tea and crumpets, cakes and biscuits, it's paint swatches, brushes, splats and zebra stripes!! Yes the Madhatter has taken on the challenge of repainting her house.

Let me tell you its been a wild time here lately. I have wanted to repaint for three years and the time has finally come. Everything came off the walls, furniture was moved and thrown upside down. Paints and brushes have been flying everywhere. I spent quite some time  picking out the color scheme. Finally I went with a different theme for each room. The Living room and Dining room is Safari theme (Think Zebra, lions, tigers, cheetahs, giraffes, etc). The colors I am using in the living room are: Silver Dust, Seal Gray and Onyx Black. Oh my my I am pleased with how its starting to look thus far.

If you want to take a peek, then head over to my personal Facebook (you have to send a friend request once there) The Madhatter has sprung again

The Mad Hatters week

My week has been, wet. Wet, wet, wet.  The sky opened up and it poured. The temps dropped once again. But despite it being wet weather wise, the week has been amazingly good. I can't ask for more than that!

Reborn dolls

I admit, I have a passion for reborn dolls. I would love to own one or maybe 12. I want one for each of my children. Made to look like them when they were babies. These are some that turned out beautifully. Wouldn't you agree?

And next up I will share some reborn dolls that didn't turn out so well.

Pretty isn't it?

I came across this the other day and had to share. I would love to have it. I suppose my obsession with faeries and fantasy are showing.

It has been a long 10 months

Hello my little madhatters. It has been a long and stressful 10 months. I know, I know. I haven't been the greatest at posting in that time.  I have been very stressed and working to get things back in order and back to where they needed to be.

For quite some time I had no internet and had only my phone to update the blog. Which by the way, didn't work as it should have. To be honest I'm not even sure where to begin.  Life has been insane, thats for sure. I want to update you on everything that has happened but I don't want to bore you either.

Bella (son's dog) died October 11, 2012 after being hit by a car. Witnesses say that it was intentional. Witnesses reported that the vehicle never tried to miss her (she was up on the curb for what its worth). The vehicle picked up speed and hit her head on. Dragging pieces of her for another 100 feet. After hitting Bella, the driver almost rear ended a dump truck that the construction crew was using to haul off dirt. One of the crew helped my daughter and I gather Bella up and gather up the pieces so she could be buried. It was bad. Dakota was upset. The last time I had seen him cry like that was when he was 3. It hit him hard that Bella was gone. I didn't know what to do.

Carsten (my dog) died November 22, 2012 after being attacked by a large dog, that resulted in his throat being crushed. I came home that night and was the one who found him. The entire neighborhood heard me that night. I was...devastated. I honestly don't recall much after finding him other than screaming and crying. Daniel said he had to pry Carsten's body from my arms. But I honestly don't remember. Carsten was my baby. He was always with me. The one night I leave him at home...he died. I will never find another companion like him. I walked around in a haze for quite some time after his death. I miss him and still find myself looking over to search for his precious little face. Only to find emptiness.  Bear bought me a Jack Russell Chi mix that looks similar to Carsten. I named him Caelen Morpheus Basì D'Ni. I went with a C name to follow Carsten's, since his was Carsten A'Darian D'Ni. I miss my baby. Caelen is sweet though.

We have just 6 dogs and 4 cats now. Rescued a cat today. Her name is Solìn because we thought she was a boy. But it sticks.

I got a new laptop finally (can we say cheers and screams?) and I love, love, LOVE it. It is a Samsung Series 3 with turbo processors etc.  Slowly working on loading my programs onto it.

The kids are all growing like weeds these days. L and D are both 10 now. C and S are 16 and 15. Noe is 13. H is 12. Chey is almost 20...I feel old. HA HA. I will get some pictures up this weekend of everyone.

Please be patient withme as i slowly get things back in order with the blog, posting and a new laptop this week. I hope to be back up and running by the weekend. But don't hold me to that...we know how life can toss curve balls at us.  See you soon my little mad hatters!

Memories and Tears

It has been a bit since I posted. The last time I posted was from my cell phone and it didn't go too well. it posted my single post in a series of 4 or 5. Won't be doing that again.

Last week was a bit hard around here. Bella was hit by a car and instantly killed. That event devastated my son. Bella was HIS dog. She followed him, slept with him. They did everything together. The last time I saw D cry like that was when he was three. He is now almost 18...
We buried her and she now has a headstone and we found some angel stones to put on each side. I am getting ready to order two rose bushes for her grave. The Bella Deep Rose and the Bella Roma Rose. I am going to close this for now....

Rest in Peace
